• For the safety and happiness of all our guests, female dogs over 6 months must be spayed before coming to Barkgata—no exceptions.

• Male dogs don’t need to be neutered, but if a pup shows dominant behavior during group play (daycare), they will be required to be neutered before returning to ensure a safe, friendly environment for everyone. A re-evaluation will be conducted upon their return.

We provide Hill’s Science Diet Dry Food (Lamb & Brown Rice) for all overnight stays, but if your pup has special dietary needs, you’re welcome to bring their own food!

To help with storage and organization, please:

• Only bring the amount needed for their stay (extra food won’t be returned).

• Pre-portion all meals into disposable containers.

• If food isn’t packaged properly, we won’t be able to accept it at check-in.

Because our facility is built around social play, all dogs must be comfortable interacting with other pups in a daycare setting. If you’re unsure, give us a call at 631-888-3500, and we can discuss what’s best for your furry friend!

• Since our daycare is all about fun, play, and socialization, we don’t serve meals during daycare hours to prevent any food-related tension.

• Make sure to feed your pup before drop-off so they have plenty of energy for their playdate!

Yes! We love keeping furry siblings together. As long as they fit comfortably in a suite, they can stay together and you’ll receive 20% off for each additional dog.

Just remember, all pups must be from the same household to qualify for the discount.

We adore our senior guests! If your pup is 10 years or older, we require an in-person evaluation before booking to ensure they’ll be comfortable and well taken care of during their stay.
