All female dogs over 6 months MUST be spayed before coming to our facility. This rule has no exceptions.
When making reservation requests please be aware of the following:
BOOKING POLICIES
VACCINATION POLICY
We require 3 vaccinations to be up-to-date for every pet in our facility, Bordetella, Rabies and Distemper.
ALL VACCINES MUST BE UPDATED 7 DAYS PRIOR TO CHECK IN.
Once vaccine records are uploaded one of our staff members will review and approve.
If the system says you are missing vaccines after you uploaded then do not be alarmed our staff just needs to verify them, then you can begin booking!
If you have any issues with this, please give us a call!
The inability to provide valid vaccines prior to check in does not supersede the cancelation policy.
PAYMENT POLICY
All boarding reservations must be paid in full 60 days prior to check-in.
All card transactions will be subject to a 3.5% fee.
If you wish to pay cash please call at the time of booking.
DAYCARE POLICY
All daycare packages are available for use within one year of purchase.
All daycare reservations once paid are non-refundable.
OVERNIGHT BOARDING POLICIES
2023-2024 BLACKOUT CALENDAR DATES ARE THE FOLLOWING:
February 17, 2023 to February 27 2023
March 31, 2023 to April 14, 2023
May 24, 2023 to May 31, 2023
June 16, 2023 to September 6, 2023
November 18, 2023 to November 27, 2023
December 18, 2023 to January 8, 2024
All blackout dates are NON-REFUNDABLE!
If canceled more than 14 days prior to check-in only a credit will given toward future bookings.
If canceled less than 14 days prior to check-in no refund or credit will be given.
Credits for boarding can only be used towards non-blackout future boarding reservations.
NO CREDIT OR REFUND WILL BE GIVEN ON RESERVATIONS AFTER THE DOG HAS BEEN CHECK-IN. (ie. early pick ups)
ALL CREDITS EXPIRE 365 DAYS FROM DATE ISSUED.
NON-BLACK OUT CALENDAR DATES
All other dates are fully refundable if canceled more than 14 days prior to check in.
Reservations canceled less than 14 days prior to check in will only receive a credit to use towards a future reservation.
HOTEL POLICY
Check-in is between 7AM and 1PM. THE LATEST CHECK IN IS AT 1 PM.
Check-out is before 10AM. If your pup requires a later pick up until 5PM, a half day of daycare ($34) will be added to your reservation.
THE LATEST PICK UP FOR A BOARDING GUEST IS 5PM.
This is a firm time, all dogs not picked up must stay the night.
FEEDING POLICY
If your dog requires food from home and will not eat our house diet, a $5 prep charge will be applied for each night boarding.
BATHING POLICY
To ensure each guest goes home nice and clean, an exit bath ($40) is required for any guest staying 3 nights or more.
This will be automatically added to your reservation when booking.
GROOMING POLICY
All grooming appointments require a $25 non-refundable deposit.
Failure to cancel or reschedule 24 hours prior to your appointment time will result in the forfeit of your deposit entirely.
DAYCARE PICKUP
After 30 mins, you will automatically be charged an overnight stay and you can pick up the next morning.
DOG BEHAVIOR
All dogs at the Barkgata must be able to be socialized in a day care setting.
Here at the Barkgata we feed our guest Hill’s Science Diet Dry Food.
Food is included with every overnight reservation.
While you are more than welcome to bring your own food from home, a prep fee of $5/day will be added to your reservation.
We ask for storage purposes, please do not bring more than the amount of food needed for the stay. All food must be pre-portioned in disposable containers for each serving.

You are more than welcomed to bring a blanket and a toy for their suite. Beds and blankets are always provided. We are not responsible for any damages or loss of items brought to our facility.
Unfortunately, do to the way our facility is run, all dogs must be able to be socialized with other dogs in a daycare setting.

We do not feed our daycare guest as they are in our play rooms all day and food tends to trigger some aggression amongst other guest. We ask you feed your pup before arriving to the facility.
Yes, as long as the size of the dogs will fit comfortably in the suite. Each additional guest will
receive 20% off if boarded together. Dogs must be from the same house hold to receive this
discount.
Of course! However, prior to booking any reservations we require an evaluation of all guest over the age of 10.

Definitely! Please include any instructions we may need to have with the person who will be dropping your dog off. We will need to add their name to the account as an approved pickup person, and we will ask for ID when they come to pick up.
